Dreams.

They come to us at night, when we are in a state of rest – when the mind is open to the disturbance, the diversion, the dream.

Quite the opposite of controlled thoughts, the ones that run rampant all day, everyday: order and discipline; right and wrong; black and white. These are the ones making sure that our daily lives are running smoothly.

This is rather a letting go of the consciousness. A place where thoughts are free to wander to areas that the alert, disciplined mind dares not to venture. A place that allows for shades of grey, cultivates colour and blends palates.

These wild and daring thoughts can also come to us in our waking hours, at times when we are relaxed and free from worry.

Like when sipping coffee in the park.

Sitting on a bench in the sunshine, listening to the birds sing and breathing in the smell of spring blooms and fresh cut grass.

Oh, to let the mind wander and dream up the unending possibilities! The perfect time to devise the next adventure.

Status quo can bring comfort, but alas, it doesn’t necessarily allow for growth. And the heightened perspective, despite the growing pains, makes for incredible views, deeper breaths and a greater sense of belonging.

Life is to be.

To behold;

To believe;

To become.

  2. Looks like tou have more time to dream, to let your mind wander. To smell spring & to embrace what you are experiencing. Enjoy the coffee, the view and the state of dreaminess!
